Private Pilot License PPL (A) is a single course designed to train pilots to the level of proficiency necessary to enable them to operate as private pilot in command on single engine piston airplanes under visual flight rules (VFR). The duration of the course can be no less than 2 months. On average most students complete the course in 6 months.
- At least 17 years of age
- EASA Medical (class 2) Certificate
- Sufficient knowledge of the English Language
- Successful completion of the Pre-Entry Assessment
Theoretical Training: The PPL theoretical knowledge course comprises 9 subjects and includes 15 private tuition sessions with an instructor. The 9 subjects are: Air Law, Aircraft General Knowledge, Flight Performance & Planning, Human Performance & Limitations, Meteorology, Navigation, Operational Procedures, Principles of Flight, and Communications. The duration of the theoretical knowledge course is approximately 2 months and can commence at any time during the year.
Flight Training: The flight training course comprises a total of 45 hrs, including 10 hrs Solo and 35 hrs dual. The flight training course commences simultaneously with the theoretical training course.
